FAQ: What to Do if a Player Gets Disconnected?

This FAQ helps you quickly diagnose the cause of a Cenareo player disconnection (Ethernet or Wi-Fi) and apply the appropriate actions depending on the model and connection type.

📶 What should I do if my player is connected via Wi-Fi?

Check the Wi-Fi signal quality in the diagnostics page:

  • If the signal is below 60%, disconnections may occur.

  • Try moving the router closer or adding a Wi-Fi repeater.

🔌 What should I do if my player is connected via Ethernet (network cable)?

Check the LEDs on the player:

  • 🔴🟢 Red + green → The player is powered, SD card detected.

  • 🔴 Red only → Possible faulty SD card → contact support.

  • No LED → Check the power outlet and power supply.

Test the network cable:

  • Unplug and replug the RJ45 cable.

  • Try the cable on another device.

Check the orange LED on the RJ45 port:

  • On → The cable is working.

  • Off → Try another network socket or switch to Wi-Fi.

🔄 Why does the new Wi-Fi network not appear as connected?

Whether adding a new Wi-Fi network or changing an existing one, the player needs to synchronize before it can connect.

Follow these steps:

  1. Enable hotspot / tethering on your smartphone.
The player will automatically connect to the hotspot and synchronize the new Wi-Fi settings.

  2. Once synchronization is complete:

    • Turn off your smartphone hotspot.

    • Wait a few minutes.

    • The player will automatically connect to the newly configured Wi-Fi network.
