Installing Cenareo on Standard Web Browsers
Installing the Cenareo application on standard web browsers provides a flexible digital signage solution without requiring Mobile Device Management (MDM) or enterprise-level administration. This guide covers the complete setup process for browser-based installations.
Prerequisites
To ensure optimal performance of your Cenareo browser screen, please make sure that all the requirements listed below are met :
Device Compatibility:
Any device capable of running modern web browsers (Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS).
Supported Browsers:
Google Chrome (recommended)
Mozilla Firefox
Microsoft Edge
Safari (macOS/iOS)
Samsung Internet (Android)
Hardware Requirements:
Minimum 2GB RAM
Hardware acceleration support recommended
Full-screen display capability
Internet Connection:
Stable internet connection required for initial setup and continuous operation.
System Access:
Administrative privileges may be required for some configuration steps.
Installation Steps
After verifying all the required installation prerequisites, you can move on to the steps to link your device and begin displaying your content :
1. Browser Preparation
Configure Browser Settings:
Open your preferred web browser
Configure autoplay settings for media content:
Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Additional Content Settings > Sound > Allow sites to play sound
Firefox: Type
about:configin address bar > Setmedia.autoplay.default = 0Edge: Settings > Site permissions > Media autoplay > Allow
Safari: Preferences > Websites > Auto-Play > Allow All Auto-Play
Disable sleep/screen saver modes for continuous operation
2. Access Cenareo Player
Navigate to Application:
Open your web browser
Navigate to:
https://get.cenareo.com/display/index.htmlThe Cenareo player interface will load automatically
Note the 8-character pairing code displayed on screen

3. Browser Optimization
Configure for Optimal Performance:
Close unnecessary browser tabs and applications
Disable browser notifications:
Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Notifications > Don't allow sites to send notifications
Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Notifications > Block new requests
Edge: Settings > Site permissions > Notifications > Block
For Chrome
Set browser to full-screen mode:
Press F11 (Windows/Linux)
Press Cmd+Shift+F (macOS)
Use browser's full-screen option in menu
4. Device Pairing
Connect to Cenareo Platform:
When the application loads, note the 8-character pairing code displayed on screen
Log in to the Cenareo platform https://manage.cenareo.com/
Navigate to Screens section
Select the screen you want to pair
Click Token Association - this is only available for fleet managers and Cenareo staff members
Enter the pairing code from the device
Confirm the pairing
6. Verify Installation
Test Basic Functionality:
Browser displays Cenareo interface properly
Pairing code is visible and readable
Network connectivity is stable
Media content plays without issues
Screen responds to CMS updates
Full-screen mode functions correctly
