The installation of our Cenareo application is quick and easy and takes only a few minutes. You will need to connect your screen to the internet to download the application and carefully follow the simple screen set up steps below to ensure that the application works seamlessly.
Check Display Compatibility
Before you start modifying the current configuration, please verify that your screen model is compatible, for optimum performance your system must be :
Tizen version 2.4 or higher, SSSP 4.0.0
You can find this information on the Samsung Support Website internet by indicating the model of your screen.
Adjust the screens default settings
Choose the screen language
Press “Menu” on the remote control and select "Language", you are advised to select “English”.
Correct the time
A display whose time is too different to the real time will not be able to download the Tizen Application. Press “Menu” on the remote control, select “System", then "Time" and update the time.
Deactivate automatic source switching
Press “Menu” on the remote control and select “System” then “Auto Source Switching”. Configure the “Off” option to ensure your screen remains on the player source and broadcasts your content when it is switched on again.
Deactivate eco mode
Press “Menu” on the remote control and selecting “System” then “Eco solution”. Make sure that all of the options are set to “Off”.
Check the display orientation
Press “Menu” on the remote control and select “OnScreen Display” then “Display Orientation”. Make sure that the two “OnScreen Orientation” and “Source Content Orientation” options are set to “Landscape” mode. This orientation configuration option for your screens is managed by the Cenareo application and can be configured on the platform on line.
Check the display format
Press “Menu” on the remote control then select “Picture” and scroll through to find the “Picture Size Settings” option. Make sure that the size of your displays is set to “16:9 Standard”.
Configure the automatic update
This restarts the display daily to force a reloading and update of the Cenaro application, use the "Timers" located in the "Home" menu on your remote control :
In the sub menu « Off Timer », program a timer at 04:00 every day of the week (of the diffusion schedule) to turn off the screen. -
In the sub menu « On timer », program a timer at 04:01 every day of the week (of the diffusion schedule) to turn back on the screen. Then choose in source « URL Luncher » as predefined at restart. Note : The diffusion schedule is managed on the Cenareo platform via the ignition and extinction of the screen.
Connect to the network
Press “Menu” on the remote control and select the “Network” section , then access the “Open Network Settings” section and choose the connection type (Wired or Wireless):
Wired Connection with a RJ45 cable . If the screen is connected by cable, this connection is automatic. Go to the next step. N.B. THE RJ45 CABLE MUST BE PLUGGED INTO THE SCREEN.
Wireless connection . In this case, enter the SSID and your password (case sensitive as on your smartphone).
Connect to the RM server connection. Select “Skip” to skip this step.
Install the Cenareo application
Check that the 'MagicInfo' launcher is disabled and that the interface allows the installation via URL of an application :
- Press on the ‘MENU’ button of the Remote control and choose ‘System’,
- Scroll down the menu ‘System’ and select ‘Play via’,
- Choose ‘Launch by URL’
Open the quick menu from the “Home” button on your remote control then select “URL Launcher Settings”.
In this menu, select “Install Web App” to enter a url link.
Enter “https://get.cenareo.com/tizen” and confirm by clicking on “Done ”. The installation may take several minutes.
Once downloaded and installed the application will launch, in the event that this does not occur, you can navigate to 'Applications' via the 'Home' button and manually launch the Cenareo application.
If your screen has already been pre-set up on our platform, the 'loading in progress', or 'no content' message will be displayed - in this case, please skip to the section 'Connection to our platform', otherwise follow the steps below.
Receive your activation code
When the Cenareo logo and the “Waiting for activation...” message are displayed, the installation is complete and the screen needs to be activated, please take note of the activation code for your device.
Registering the Screen on the Cenareo Platform
Email our support team (support@cenareo.com) with the following information :
a. identification code (displayed on the screen),
b. the screen resolution (ex : 1920x1080), the default is HD 1920x1080,
c. screen orientation (hortizontal / paysage, or vertical / portrait), the default is horizontal (paysage), and
d. the name you want to assign to the screen, the name will help you locate it easily in the management interface and we suggest the following approach : "mark"_"city"_"site code"_"site location" ex "Redstripe_Paris_0010_1st Floor Lobby" reference to take full advantage of our intelligent search engine.
The support team will respond as quickly as possible to inform you when the registration has been complete.
Connection to our platform
Once you receive confirmation that your screen is set up you can go to our website (manage.cenareo.com) to plan content for the screen and restart the application.
The application will connect automatically to the screen that has been set up on our platform, you may need to wait a few seconds, or exceptionally a few minutes whilst the setup is completed depending on your device and the internet connection.
If you have already planned content for your screen, the content will be displayed - and it's done : you're all good !
Broadcasting Content on the Screen
If you have not already prepared content for your screen, an on-screen message will be shown stating that there is no content to display (previously, the activation code was displayed), this is a confirmation that the screen is registered and that you can log in to manage.cenareo.com to start scheduling your content.
Notes
- Once activated, the players setup files are stored on the device and the activation does not need to be redone.
- The Cenareo application only manages your programmed content and does not (cannot due to security rules) manage your device on/off schedules or device updates - this is handled by your device settings (If you want to set up a player whose entire system is managed by Cenareo, please contact support at support@cenareo.com)
- The activation code will be between 8 and 64 characters long and can include alphanumerics, '_' and '-'.
